Tableau Admin

  Mandatory Technical / Functional Skills:

• 4-6 years of relevant experience
• Configure and maintain Tableau Server Layer
• System Administration (includes site creation, server maintenance/Upgrades/patches).
• Monitor server activity/usage statistics to identify possible performance issues/enhancements Performance tuning / Server management of tableau server environment (clustering, Load balancing).
• Knowledge of Tableau server architecture and its services.
• Expertise in troubleshooting data source refresh issues, Access issues, and checking logs.
• Good knowledge of handling permissions for projects
• Basic understanding of the configuration of AD/LDAP with Tableau server.
• Create/Manage Groups, Workbooks and Projects, Database Views, Data Sources, and Data Connections.
• Manage and support migration of objects (dimensions, measures, hierarchies, reports, workbooks, dashboards), from development to production environments.
• Provide appropriate training and support to business users on the use of Tableau interactive web reports, and Tableau Desktop.
• Partner with businesses to design tableau KPI scorecards & dashboards.
• Assist in the identification and migration of data sources to the Tableau server.
• Assist in the development of workbooks and dashboards to support business initiatives.
• Develop and document standards/best practices for the development and administration of the Tableau platform.
• Work closely with technical architects, and data and software engineers to ensure optimal application and data database/warehouse design to support reporting requirements.

    Roles and Responsibilities:

• Advanced knowledge and experience with Tableau software (Desktop and Server), with a strong understanding of Tableau architecture and administration.
• Experience as Tableau administrator, developing in, configuring, and administering Tableau Server.
• Strong development skills in Tableau and data analytics and visualizations
• Strong Knowledge of BI tools including ETL, Data Warehousing, and other BI tools.
• Experience in Tableau scripting (TABCMD and TSM).
• Ability to architect a stable Tableau solution guaranteed high operational availability.
• Experience working with Relational Databases (SQL Server – required, Oracle).
• Expertise in Tableau platform sizing, troubleshooting, tuning & disaster recovery.
• Good knowledge of Tableau Metadata tables.

  Desirable Technical / Functional Skills:

• Must demonstrate the ability to analyze medium to large, complex, or vague Business or Technical problems and translate analysis into viable solution recommendations.
• Experience in driving out requirements and building documentation processes.
• Familiar with Agile development methodologies such as Scrum
• Ability to work with both business and technology Customers.

Qualification: Engineering/Science UG or PG degree
